(a) Hands on Training Programme on Quality Library Management
A Hands on Training Programme on Quality Library Management is a very good opportunity to gain practical knowledge in the field of Library and Information Science as well as management of Libraries and Information Centres. This programme bridges the theory with the practice in any particular field of study. The K.C Das Commerce Library has been offering this programme to the students of Library and Information Science since 2013. The library has given practical knowledge of all library housekeeping services, Integrated Library Management Software SOUL 2.0, Digital Library Software DSpace and use of Barcode Technology and other ICT tools in the library and other important aspects of library to the Library Trainee.
The LIS students of reputed universities of North East India viz. Gauhati University, Cotton University and University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya have visited our Library for training purpose.

(b) Special Service during COVID-19 Lockdown

The library has extended its services to the neighbor people of the college during the lockdown period in 2020. Under this service, the library has distributed books to the interested readers which include retired persons, housewives, etc. on their demand.
(c) 7-Days Workshop on Manuscript Conservation
K. C. Das Commerce College Library has organized a 7-Day Workshop on Manuscript Conservation from August 25th to August 31st, 2022. Ms. Sanhati Adhikary, Manuscript Conservator and Museologist, conducted the workshop. A total of seven participants from Gauhati University's Department of Library and Information Science and K. C. Das Commerce College attended the programme. The Workshop was initiated in presence of Dr. Hrishikesh Baruah, Principal; Dr. Runjun Phookan, Ex Vice-Principal and Donor of the Manuscripts and her husband Dr. Hemendra Ram Phookan; Dr. Bhababhuti Sarma, Vice-Principal and Dr. Prasanta Kumar Deka, Librarian.
